The Fake Centerpiece Bug
With so many bugs in the game to choose from, Zynga decided to address a non-bug only they think it’s a bug because they didn’t bother to read their own instructions. Many players are reporting that their Thanksgiving Feast ‘Ask’ buttons are grayed out. So much so Zynga is now investigating the ‘issue’ [1]. Let me save them the trouble of investigating…Of course the ‘Ask’ button is grayed out because you cut off the ability to get free Centerpieces today at 12am PST. It clearly states in the instructions to “collect as many Centerpieces as you can for 12 days, after which you will have another 2 days to complete your Collection and redeem centerpieces”. They should be more worried about the fact that they are still using Pacific Daylight Time than then they are as to why this 'Ask' button magically disappeared as intended. To prevent confusing players (and themselves), Zynga should have 2 separate timers like they do in the Robbing Spree and Crafter's Choice Events. They would then be freed up to investigate real issues such as the jacked up Top Mafia Bonuses which they haven't even addressed.
I have complained to Zynga twice now about the top mafia bonuses, first time they blamed scripts, second time they did not address the issue at all, I have just emailed them again this morning and asked if it is intentional to nerf the bonuses or just another bug..Lets see what they come up with this time..

ReplyDeleteLook at the orange writing in the instructions, it says PDT on both start and stop times.
DeleteThat support page is terrible. It was better when they had the 'support forum' on the forum at least then, members could easily see the questions and reply. The level of knowledge from the current employees is terrible, no advise is better than false information.

ReplyDeleteAs it should be according to the instructions. The event runs through Dec 8th, the last 2 days are for redeeming only so therefore the ask buttons would be shutdown at 12am on Dec 7th.
DeleteYesterday, I collected 100 centerpieces from gift collector (It showed I got 10, rest were mystery bags) when I went to check on the counter it said 0/10.

ReplyDeleteI am beyond disgusted, far beyond my usual Zynga anger. I am done with South Africa and this would seem to be the perfect time to invite them to kiss my arse goodbye. I'm sure there's a game out there that actually cares what the players think.
they dont make it easy for you high level players let the small levelers catch you up
ReplyDeletesimply playing the game will make it nearly impossible for lower level players to catch up. because of the lack of players , it seems that lower level players are forced to fight upper level players
DeleteI know Facebook has some control over Zynga's issues so here is what I am doing when I block an ad of theirs. I do not see one ad any more on the right side of my pages cos I have blocked so many. Fix my Mafia Wars account so I can send Gifts or I will keep

ReplyDelete1. While the ability to REQUEST or loot these consumables goes away 2 days before the end, They are often still able to be sent as gifts, and can be claimed as gifts from the ZMC, for the duration.
2. The ZMC's timer is still based on EASTERN TIME (at least for me, in the eastern time zone). So, if you time your collection right and have the ZMC collectibles to spare, you can collect an EXTRA TEN in the last 3 hours of the event between midnight EST & midnight PST.
players never seem to read the rules, they forget the last two days are just for spending. I personally do not see the need for this
