The VIP loot item for the week is a Roadrunner. Unless they update the loot that drops in fights, jobs and robs, I don’t see the point of paying for the program for a second month. Reward Points are cheaper during Marketplace Promotions, I don’t utilize the daily Skill Point Reallocation and one high stat loot item a week is not very helpful. If you signed up on the first day the VIP Membership Program was available, the next renewal date is May 05, 2012. You have until that day to decide if you want to continue. I have cancelled my membership and will renew once there are benefits worth $24.97 a month. You can see from the image below, I still get the benefits for the entire month regardless if my membership is active or not.
If you decide to cancel before the renewal day, all you need to do is go to the VIP Tab in the Marketplace and click on the “Manage Subscriptions” link.
Click on the “Subscription Details” button.
Click on the blue “Cancel your Subscription” link.
Click on the “cancel your Subscription” button.
Your confirmation screen will then appear. Your benefits will remain intact until your renewal day passes. You always have the option to sign up again.
When you go back to the Marketplace, you will have a timer letting you know when your subscription expires.

ReplyDeleteIf they include the +50 SP every month, perhaps its worth it but just the same, without the loot upgrade it not worth the monthly rate. I also unsubscribed mine with 20 days to go.
ReplyDeleteIt would seem once again the VIP program and membership is going to be once again treated more like a paid substitute version of their unpopular Loyalty program,
ReplyDeletewhich is yet another zynga marketing scam dreamt up by their management dream team(thought up in one of their sol called business meetings.
If that is in fact the case and their actual intent, this will undoubtedly also fail even quicker than the Loyalty program did on the first go around,
as mafia wars players in general do not like to be manipulated or tricked especially the second time around.
Zynga in their grab for corporate greed to now satisfy their corporate investors/shareholders partners now are under pressure to come up with new gimmicks to generate enhanced profitability.
Unfortunately, it seems more likely that zynga will take the low road than the high road towards mafia wars game players in general.
Instead of sitting on the fence, I will be canceling the VIP membership as their is only about a week left in the membership,
so its a good time as any to send a message to the Zynga management dream team that they had better rethink their fantasy; in regards to record mafia wars game players signing up for their VIP program.
Unless and until the VIP program definitively shows that it can actually deliver more VIP program rewards that make a significant difference(+5%),
then its likely that the current mafia wars players enrolled in the VIP program will jump from the brand new Zynga VIP program(only time will tell Zynga's actual intentions).
I for one will not be waiting or holding my breath as I grow tired and impatient of these games Zynga insists on playing with loyal and dedicated mafia wars players in general.
I will however be happy to re-enroll for one more month at a time so long as they continue to show significant upgrades to the VIP program on a month to month basis.
Does the VIP membership expire 1 month from the day you join, or is it always the 5th of the month? Thanks

Here's why I am staying in the VIP Program:
ReplyDeleteI AM utilizing the daily reallocation of 60SP. What I am doing is taking 60SP from Health and reallocating to Attack or Defense. If you do the math, here's how it works out:
60RP to reallocate 60 Health
36RP to speed build Warthogs to replenish the 60 Health.
That's a total of 96 RP.
If I wanted to speed build 60 Attack or Defense, it would take 120RP.
So, using the VIP program provides a net savings of 24RP per reallocation.
If I were to simply buy RP outright, at the 40% discount, 1000RP cost 12 cents each. So, by saving 24RP, I save $2.88 per reallocation.
IF reallocation randomly came up every day, I would be able to do the above reallocation about 9 times before I used up all the RP. By being in the VIP Program, I am guaranteed to be able to do this every day, AND it saves me about $50 per month over the cost of doing the same thing every day IF I even had the opportunity.
so the 50 rw points that we get every week is going away too? or is that still intact?

ReplyDelete1 free skill point relocate per week ,2 extra ny builds per day, lower stamina pack to every 4 hrs, this kinda stuff adds real value to make it worthwhile and I am sure lots of ppl would join if they could get this value out of there 25.00 a month
Well, whaddayaknow!!! Zynga launches YET ANOTHER "program" and, at the beginning, it seems so great that lots of people join. But, just as quickly, the mask is removed and the program is discovered to be just another ripoff in disguise.

as long as fools keep jumping in with both feet and paying them money they will continue to trick you into parting with your pennies... as per usual they offered and most said how high without waiting to see if it was really worth it...personally zynga can suck my balls ... even then my money staying in my pocket... for 25 a month can play a real online game that isnt full of glitches and bugs :)

ReplyDeleteI noticed yesterday that VIP had expired for me (no auto renewal) so I tried to buy a renewal and it failed. Then I checked my account and I had been charged twice for VIP this month. Anyone else having this type of problem. Still not heard anything from billing
ReplyDeleteA friend of mine bought a subscription to the V.I.P. for his daughter (or step-daughter, not sure which it is). He told her he'd pay for 3 months of it.
ReplyDeleteShe is going to work at a summer camp for the next several weeks and will not have internet access, so it's okay with her for it to be canceled at this time.
He tried to cancel today. He called zynga billing support and was told that he is not ALLOWED to cancel it, even though he is the one who gave them his credit card information in the first place, and the card is NOT in the girl's name! They said they had to speak with her before they would permit a cancellation to be processed.
Then, when he tried to remove his credit card from the zynga games ... it is LOCKED and he is unable to remove his credit card from their files.
He tried going to "manage subscriptions" and the box is absolutely blank - nothing comes up for him to cancel the gift subscription he had purchased for her.
His only recourse is to cancel a credit card he has had for many years.
This is not what he thought he was getting into!
