Well it has been done. There is an all out effort to curb rogue script behavior. In the process those that use scripts in a reasonable manner are being punished. Pistol Pete hopes there will be some eye opening at the Studio to how this approach can actually end up hurting them. He is in full support of tackling the issue of curbing Rogue scripts. Rogue Scripts are often modifications of existing scripts to perform tasks at a blistering rate. Jen and Janna covers the new fight loot, the Battle Module issues, and the Slingo game.

About Time....
ReplyDeleteDo they want the long time players to leave the game? I have way too much stamina to fight manually. I get a taste of that every now & then when assassin-a-nator is down and, if manual fighting were to be my only option, I would stop playing. There are only so many things to do in Mafia Wars. Once cities, events, missions, etc. have been completed, fighting is the only constant. I agree with cracking down on rogue scripts...but not all scripts are bad for the players and/or the game.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you there, just to do progression ices it takes me like 3 hours. I have a full time job a wife and a kid to keep happy. And these good scripts like the Spock toolbar is a great help. I always fight manually in mocks or battles. 4 hours of my day is already dedicated to playing and that's a lot for me and to take away scripts would seriously disappoint me because I would be able to complete family progression. I just don't understand the haters of the scripts, I mean, do they have work or are they married with kids? Look, I get the point about abusive scripts, i'm not supportive of abusive scripts, those types of scripts are hurting the game, but don't hate the honest scripts that save the click fingers out there! -Dioxin-
