The currency in London is Pounds. The job payouts and fight rewards aren’t excessive like in some other destinations Many players are reporting that their hard earned Pounds are mysteriously vanishing into a black hole. We dealt with this issue in Chicago when many were losing Clams [1]. Overtime, it becomes a non-issue because currency in Mafia Wars eventually reaches the useless zone.
The highest paying job (which also has the best energy/currency ratio) is “Tell The Editor The Truth” in District 3. It pays £167 per job (Moguls will get more) but each job costs 918 energy! Using energy to acquire currency is not the ideal way as the jobs with the best money ratios have bad experience/energy ratios.
Your Olympic Stadium pays out Pounds every 8 hours but like jobs it’s minimal.
The best way to get Pounds is to fight. The maximum amount of Pounds you can steal from any player is £374 per attack. Attacks in London are the equivalent of 5 or 25 individual attacks. If you find you are getting more than £9,350 it’s due to batch attacks.
You can adjust the settings of the Assassin-a-Nator to maximize the number of Pounds you would get per stamina. You are only rewarded with Pounds if you and your target are in London at the time of the attack. They would also need to have unbanked Pounds. To avoid repeating attacks on those not in London, open up your filters and check the “Cash from same city” box. You can also set the minimum amount of Pounds so you don’t waste stamina by attacking players who don’t have many Pounds out of the bank.

You can see by the Action Log that targets are skipped if they don’t meet the requirements. As with all filtered types of attacks, there is no way for the Assassin-a-Nator to know if a target meets your specifications until after one attack is performed.
In the run below, my filters were set as shown above and I acquired £79,010. You won’t get many ices so if you’re more concerned about the number of ices you get, this is not the most effective way to go.
There really isn’t a whole lot to spend our Pounds on. We need this currency to purchase job equipment but I found that doing jobs to 100% mastery provides enough currency to buy the items for the next job. We can purchase items from the Nightclub but in time you should have plenty to cover the expense.
While fighting in London, you can heal for £3,000 but healing with New York cash is a better option.
The reason many are after Pounds is to get the Count Your Pennies Achievement. Which is earned by having 1 million Pounds in the bank.

While staying in London, I went to the Recruit Page and sent Mafia Wars Invites to my Facebook friends who weren’t in my mafia.
Below are the bank balances for each round of invites I sent. This may not work for all accounts and you should try it several times.
I kept doing it until I had enough to get the Count Your Pennies Achievement!
Avishek Paul is the player who notified me that the glitch is still working. To prove to his mafia that it does work, he made the following video.

Once you post this, ain't gonna be there no more..
ReplyDeleteI posted about 4 months ago and it still is so don't be so quick to predict the future.
DeleteI just tried the sent invited trick and it didn't work for me, started in London, sent 50 invites, confirmed the send, it told me it sent them but no cash :(
ReplyDeleteIt doesn't always work. Try if several times. Just to verify it, it took about 5 attempts. The money sometimes shows up upon refresh as well.
Deleteyou dont get cash if you have sent an invite to someone for the second time, whether it be the friends list glitching and putting mafia back in your invite list or whatever else. it only works for first time invites. select carefully as i find some of my existing mafia back in the "invite mafia" box. when i send to new people and no repeats, it works every time:)
DeleteMy case is worst, I tried it several times, my requests are sent but neither the pounds came nor the invites went! When I open to recruit again the same players appears. When I looked at invites sent there are several that I've sent months ago and that were accepted!
ReplyDeleteThanks Jen for putting my video on your blog. :) One thing I have noticed is that this glitch works if my health is over 150. If you have done recruiting all your non-mafia friends and there is no more on the list, run the Cancel Pending Mafia Invites from Team Spockholm. It will cancel the invites and you can recruit again to get pounds. :) This works in all the cities so if you want NY money, you can get it too. :) Have fun.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing it with us :) Had you not inboxed me, I probably would have forgot to check if it was still working. I pretty much forgot about it. Was told once it was fixed but that was probably just because it didn't work for those people.
DeleteMy pleasure. :)
Deletethat currency glitch was how i completed brazil :P
ReplyDeletei thought it was some kind of gift from zynga for adding more mafia :D
How much ny money can you get per request? I still need the trillion achievements. Unfornately I was not playing mafia wars when everyone glitched those achievements. -Dioxin-
ReplyDeleteI think it is random.
DeleteOh, ok cool. Guess it'll have to wait then. Thanks for the reply. -Dioxin-
DeleteTo get the trillion award, the best way is to un-bank your cash and fight Cleto, the boss in Enforcer Level jobs.
Deletedont work for me
ReplyDeleteI'm Mogul and the job “Tell The Editor The Truth” in District 3 It pays £233 per job.
ReplyDeleteJust for saying.
Ciao From Italy.
I used this glitch in Brazil until it stopped working. I used it once in London and it worked but now it won't. I tried it 7 more times and nothing. I wonder why it works for some and not for all.
ReplyDeletety your information is always the best!
ReplyDeleteAs always the best ty !
ReplyDeletehi there what is the job that pays the best ratio of london pounds per points? dose spock have something that can tell us this
ReplyDeletenot work any more.... sorry
ReplyDeletenot work anymore, i been trying in the last days, no success.... the and of the glitch in my pov
ReplyDeleteI get a lot more london cash robbing than I do robbing. Just sayin'.
ReplyDeleteI guess the Glitch isn't working anymore
ReplyDeleteI've done the first six districts in London and I'm stuck short on cash. Has anyone made a list of items out there that its safe to sell as you complete the districts? I am truly stuck with no pounds and something like 24k per job to carry on. I was hoping not to reinvent the wheel. Anyone done the research already? Thanks
ReplyDeletei am at district 5, assassin o nator cannot collect pounds, no one has them. my only option is to sell parts back. i have a question for the group. being it is so hard to get pounds in london, would it be ok to sell the parts from the lower districts that you have finished, so you can buy the parts needed to do the higher districts? will theseparts be needed again for other jobs? i looked up on the mafiawars wiki and it looks like it is safe to do so. what do you think? http://mafiawars.wikia.com/wiki/London
