As mentioned previously, the latest Secret District is based in Chicago and called The Great Fire. We are introduced to Jimmy The Torch and he is described as a “loose cannon” who likes fire. This Secret District plays out exactly the same as By The Bookie.
We are given a total of 14 days to completely master this district which includes a Boss Fight. The Boss is none other than Jimmy The Torch.
To access The Great Fire, use the Home Page banner shown above, the Travel Bar or the Chicago Job Page.
There is only one Job Page image and it’s designed to change as you master each level. This time you won’t see any differences between the Silver, Gold and Ruby Levels as it looks like Zynga made a mistake. If you want to see all 4 images, go here. They used the image that was meant to be for the Ruby Level for all levels after Bronze. This will probably go unnoticed by many so I doubt they would fix it. Honestly they have more important things to fix!

You should notice right away that 6 of the 9 jobs require Clams. The good news for those worried about Clam expenditures is there are no job equipment items to worry about. The mastery percentages, currency requirements and experience/energy ratios are listed below. Jobs number 2 and 9 require a consumable.
| Job | Mastery | Clams | Bronze | Silver | Gold | Ruby |
| 1 | 5% | 30 | 1.90 | 1.97 | 2.03 | 2.03 |
| 2* | 7% | 22 | 2.00 | 2.08 | 2.14 | 2.13 |
| 3 | 8% | -- | 1.92 | 1.99 | 2.05 | 2.05 |
| 4 | 5% | 31 | 1.93 | 1.99 | 2.06 | 2.06 |

| 8 | 5% | -- | 1.81 | 1.88 | 1.94 | 1.93 |

Vintage Lighters are the consumable item needed to complete jobs and can be used as Ammo for the Boss Fight. They are on the Free Gift Page so you can accept up to 250 per day. To ensure you get enough gifts, use the Gift Blaster or the link below to send them to your mafia.

You can also farm Vintage Lighters by doing the first job, Spring Jimmy ‘The Torch’. The job costs 90 energy on the Bronze Level. If you choose this route, farm enough to get you through the Ruby Level.
Vintage Lighters are needed for jobs #2 and #9.
To determine how many Vintage Lighters you will need to fully master the district, divide the percent mastery into 100, round up and multiply by 4. If you don’t want to use your stamina for the Boss Fight, you will want many more.
| Job | % Mastery | Lighters/Level | Total |
| 2 | 7 | 15 | 60 |
| 9 | 4 | 25 | 100 |
| Total | 160 |
There are 4 loot items which randomly drop from all jobs of The Great Fire. Unlike past Secret Districts, this loot will help more players.
To maximize your loot drops, make sure you have plenty of 2X Loot Boosts and don’t forget to utilize your Lockpick Crew Bonus. You can ask your mafia to send you 2X Loot Boosts once every 30 minutes (up to 5), collect up to 30 per day from the news feeds or put them on your wishlist. Any 2X Loot Boosts that you had from previous Secret Districts will carry over and can be used for this one.
Along the way, you will be plagued by Bandits. For review, there are three types of Bandits. The Job Bandit will steel 80% of the cash and experience from the job that activated him and will prevent you from doing the job again. The Cash and Experience Bandits steal all cash and experience from jobs until you eliminate them or they disappear. They can be eliminated by using one of your Chicago Crew members.

What’s odd is the loot items you get for eliminating Bandits are the same ones we get in London [1]. It would be much better to get the loot that is intended for the Secret District. This just makes the Bandits more annoying than they already are.

If you use RepeatJob Brazil/Chicago by Team Spockholm, Bandits will be eliminated for you as long as you have enough crew members. If you don’t, it will pause.
If you scroll to the bottom of the Secret District Job Page, you will find a Boss Fight. Jimmy The Torch works the same way as Carl The Coach did. You can fight him with stamina or consumables and he is only available to defeat once per level. For more details on how Secret District Boss Fights work and instructions for the Spockholm Secret District Boss Fighter, go here.
Jimmy The Torches health increases with each level and is 3,500/7,000/14,000/30,000 for Bronze, Silver, Gold and Ruby.
You can use consumable items or stamina to attack Jimmy The Torch. If you use stamina, the initial cost for each level is 5. The amount goes up by 5 for each attack. It can get costly but the good news is the experience/stamina ratios are over 2.0.
Consumable do more damage and it’s best to use combos. Zynga tries to temp you to pay to unlock the combos but this is a social game so it’s no secret.
The three combos for Jimmy The Torch are shown below.
When you bring the health of Jimmy The Torch to 0, you defeat him and get a mastery item called Jimmy’s Blowtorch. Its starts out with stats of 127/107 on the Bronze Level and improves to 187/137 on Ruby. You can only do one Boss Fight per level. If your account does reset, you can fight the boss again but you won’t get any additional mastery items.

The loot mastery item is a Foam Extinguisher. It starts out with stats of 134/73 on the Bronze Level and improves to 194/85 on Ruby.
If you master all the jobs in a level, it’s not considered fully mastered until you defeat the boss. If you don’t get your mastery popup, don’t panic. Make sure you beat the boss and you will get a combo popup.

There is a little trick i learned from the other secret district.
ReplyDeleteWhen you get your bronze boss fight item (Jimmy's Blowtorch), put this in your family property defence. When you get the silver item, it will overwrite your bronze from your inventory but by putting it in the property defence, you get the silver reward in your inventory and the bronze stays in your property.
Do this for each level until you get the ruby item in your inventory and your gold item in your property defence.
I hope i have explained that right but im sure people will understand what i mean :-)
thanks for the information buddy!
DeleteJimmy looks like Frank Zappa!!! Long life to rock!
ReplyDeleteI REALLY dislike that the bandit drops are from London! That was the major way that I received the needed drops for the last secret district.
ReplyDeleteClearly spelled out! Thanks Jennifer!
ReplyDeleteSadly as well, that the loot job for farming Vintage Lighters also costs 30 clams. Thus, if someone doesn't have the "responsive" mafias to get enough lighters to each person, one could easily run out of money farming lighters for both the jobs and the boss fight. Not all of us are lucky enough to be able to hit the stamina button on the boss fight endlessly, and I'm sure those lighters will get alot of use in this boss fight as well just as they did the last one.
ReplyDeleteNice job on walk-through write-up. Thank you!
ReplyDelete@ After.Life , It is not a trick in the secret districts but for any mastery item . Jennifer has covered this once in the blog . But still , are you sure that you can add them ?? Coz Zynga has now changed it , so all the items cannot be added !
ReplyDeleteKarra,
ReplyDeleteAfter.Life is correct; I've added all mastery item to my Fam property before I move on to the other Mastery Level. Using the Defendor it's all so easy. Thanks Jen for the Walk-Thru.

energy used to do jobs is based on your level
ReplyDeleteAnother "Secret" District - with the same behavior as before...
ReplyDeleteHow unoriginal and pathetic!
One wonders when Zynga will come up with something new and challenging instead of replaying the same old records over and over and over...
Anthony
Where do the baseball bats drop, I can't recall, is it robbing??
ReplyDeleteyes ,they drop in robbing
DeleteThat job bandit sucks. Not only has he blocked me from doing anymore of the job he's browned out, but no way to eliminate him, or ever get a lighter again except via gifts.
ReplyDeleteCLASSIC ZYNGA FAIL!
Jimmy is made to look like Rob Schneider
ReplyDeletethere are no crack of the bats in this game...10K stamina...only got 3...how could i fight him ?
ReplyDeleteCrack of the bats in this game....? Use your 1000's of RP pts to buy em...
ReplyDeleteanyone else finding loot drop rates to be low?
ReplyDeleteCompleted all levels and drop rates were pathetic. I only received 3 Fire Buckets and 7 Engine Pumpers. I did get 13 Vintage Hoses, but so what. Without collecting at least 10 each of the other items, no Bonus for me. This is the second event where my drop ratio was horrible. I did use 2X Loot Drops...but they were useless for the most part. What jobs are dropping the most loot? I have not seen any pattern or found any comments regarding which job is best. Bummed out...again.
ReplyDeleteFrom the Lunatic Fringe.
If I already mastered this district the last time it came out, will it start again for me? Don't wanna waste the 15 RP it costs to go there to find out I'm already done....
