When Zynga intentionally broke unframing, they did more damage to many useful analytical scripts then to the ones they are trying to stop. Two scripts that come to mind are the Mafia Wars Helper by Tomi Crnicki and Experience/Energy 3.0 by Joyka. The easiest way to get around the unframing block is to use the Spockholm Mafia Toolbar. All Spocklets out of beta testing as well as any outside scripts you add can be run unframed. To add the scripts mentioned above to your Spockholm Toolbar, follow the instructions below.
Before you begin, you must install the Spockholm Mafia Toolbar. Go here for instruction on how to do that.
Mafia Wars Helper
1. Click the link below.
2. Click “Yes, I know the risk”. This script is on the Mafia Wars Helper servers and is safe.
3. To ensure your newly added script makes it to the script list, go to the Configuration Page (which should already be open) and click on the “Force reload Spocklets” link.
4. It’s easiest just to use the search bar to find any script within your toolbar but if you want to add the MWHelper to the Spocklets Drop Down menu just click on it from the Configuration Page “Own Spocklets” tab. Once it turns green, it will appear on your drop down menu.
5. To launch the MWHelper, go to your profile page and click on “MWHelper” from the search bar or drop down menu (if you added it) on the Spockholm Toolbar.
6. From this point on, the MWHelper will run as it always has. If you aren’t on your Mafia Wars Profile Page, click “OK” on the popup and you will be directed there. From there re-launch the program by repeating step 5.
7. If you find nothing happens, look up at your browser bar to see if you have popups blocked. You will see a red X in the far right corner if you do (this will be slightly different in FireFox).
Click on the red X, allow the popups and repeat step 5.
8. Your MWHelper will now work.
Experience/Energy 3.0
1. Click the link below.
2. Follow steps 2-4 from above.
3. Upon launch, you will find that the script is in the way. You can move it anywhere you like by hovering your mouse over it and then dragging it to a more desirable location.
4. To customize it, click on “ExpEnergy 3.0” in the upper right corner and the menu will appear.
To share any script that you added to your Spockholm Toolbar with your mafia, go back to the Configuration Page and open the “Own Spocklets” tab. Click on the little export icon.
A request will appear that you can post on your wall. When your mafia members click on these requests, the scripts will automatically be added to their Spockholm Toolbars.
Thanks to Elise Brenner for asking me how to do this and to Brandon Venery for grabbing the MWHelper link.

It would be great if we could get instructions on how to add other existing scripts into the Toolbar - if I have an existing bookmarklet, how do I import it to the Toolbar?
ReplyDeleteSearch this blog for the toolbar and it's explained there or go to the Stockholm web sight and there's a link on how the toolbar works and how to add other bookmarklets
Deletewould love to be able to add scruffy's p chucker to my toolbar
ReplyDeleteouch only get gibberish when I click the link. When I logged on today, ff auotmatically updated. Could this be the problem ?
ReplyDeleteI appreciate this page but I am unable to get chucker or MW Helper to work in my toolbar.
ReplyDeleteI've used it before and now it's not working. Anyone else having that problem?
ReplyDeleteMW Helper has aklways been my favourite analyser, However, I can't seem to get it to run for the past few months. Running it via Spock toolbar and in FF 17.01.
ReplyDeleteIt appears to work as it used to, opening a new page, which loads the cycling banner of all the new items...but that is as far as I can get it to process. It just sits there, tantalising me with these new items, but not showing me if I have any of them in the rest of my white page.
