Players who don't like the Mafia Wars Game Bar installed on their computer (there are plenty of reasons not to like it) don't have to choose between removing it or dealing with it to get the 8 hour bonuses it offers.
There are many tools and links out there to acquire the bonuses without having the Game Bar installed. I don't even think Zynga likes their Game Bar. If you go to the
Zynga Game Bar Fan Page and attempt to go to the application, you will get the following message: "The app "Zynga Game Bar" is temporarily unavailable due to an issue with its third-party developer. We are investigating the situation and apologize for any inconvenience.". That's what you get when you use a third party to do the work for you. This probably explains why a lot of the bonuses stopped working.
If you are unable to get your Game Bar bonuses there is an easy way to do it. You need to go to
http://toolbar.zynga.com/install/mw/ and install the Game Bar. Following the instructions on the page. You can then you can disable it. By going to your Chrome Extensions or FireFox Add-ons.
Uncheck the Enabled box to disable your Zynga Game Bar and your scripts and links should start working again.
I use the Checklist by Team Spockholm to collect my 8 hour Game Bar bonuses but now there is a way to add this to the Spockholm Toolbar. The import code is shown below. Copy it.

Go to Configuration section of the Spockholm Toolbar and click on the "Own Spocklets".
Click on the "Import Spocklet from code" and paste in the code shown above.
Paste the code shown above into the box and click on OK.
If you want to "export" your new item to share it, click on the "Export" icon and post it on your wall. All your mafia members will need to do is copy the code on your post and paste it the import box.
A Mini-Pack MW Toolbar item will now be present on the Spocklet Drop Down Menu.
All you need to do is click on it every 8 hours to get one of 3 Toolbar bonuses. A Mini Stamina Buff of 200 Stamina Points, a Mini Energy Buff of 200 Energy Points or a Min Energy Buff of a 25% Energy Refill.
If you aren't good at keeping track of time, you can use the Checklist by Team Spockholm to do it for you. The Checklist is one of the Standard Spocklet so it will already be on your Spockholm Toolbar. If you don't want to import the Mini-Pack item to your Spockholm Toolbar you can click on the "Do it" link to get your bonus.
As soon as you do the task and check the box, the timer will start.
