Porn in Mafia Wars

Spamming porn images is quite common on the internet. We deal with it all the time on the Mafia Wars Loot Lady Fan Page. I'm sure you have seen an image or two before they were removed. Today some porn spammers were able to insert images into Mafia Wars. I've blurred out the bad parts but I think you can see what is going on. Yizua posted these images on the fan page asking what could be done. One of her friends had them plastered throughout his Mafia Wars account. This type of thing can and does happen. The reason I posted this is because I also received an email from someone explaining the same thing. Players should notify Zynga if something like this happens to their account.

We saw a problem similar but not as vulgar back in April when many players were reporting that the Concealable Camera image on the gift page was replaced with a girl in her underwear looking into a mirror (1). I was later told that this was in fact a security breach and they issue was resolved on Zynga's end.

Hospital Layout Change

If you've been to the Hospital lately, you will notice it looks different. I'm not sure what the point is. Possibly it is to prevent players from accidentally purchasing a health boost when the screen jumps. The purchase button is more out of line with the attack button but this won't stop it from happening. A confirmation button is what they need as of this post there isn't one.  I doubt they went through all this trouble to prevent players from spending Reward Points.

The first gift, the Briefcase Gun, is unlocked now and can be found on the Free Gift Page. You need to look towards the bottom to see it.

To save time and not have to deal with the Free Gift Page, bookmark the link below and it will take you directly to the send page. The more gifts you send, the more you will get in return. You can send 50 at a time and can send each member of your mafia one gift per day. If you keep reading, you will see this was a waste of time as there is a nice nerf coming up.

Soon after the event started, I had a ZMC full of Briefcase Guns.

Here is the problem. There is a limit of how many gifts you can accept per day. 10 is the maximum so nobody will be finishing this event anytime soon (unless you spend Reward Points). Briefcase Guns convert to Blue Mystery Bags once you hit your limit of 10 (rant found in the next paragraph).

This is as far as I could go for the day without using Reward Points. This is really annoying because everybody is sending these gifts out like crazy. It's bad enough they totally changed gifting and now they are going to impose daily limits! We have never seen this in a gifting event and it's total bullshit. Now all those gifts will go to waste as you can't save them due to the 100 gift limit in the ZMC.

There is always the option to buy a gift using Reward Points. Don't be fooled by the message. You will not gain mastery for 3 Reward Points. Each gift costs 3 Reward Points, if you buy enough of them you can buy mastery.

To master the bronze level, you need to accept 4 gifts, silver 8 and 16 for gold . Collect your mastery item from the Home Page.

I purchased the last two needed to master the silver level so we would know how many gifts are needed for the gold level.

You can get extra items from your new feeds. You can find bonus Incognito gifts when doing jobs or fights. You want to share there as you and your mafia can get extra gifts that won't apply to the daily limit of 10. Unfortunately those are limited to 3 per day.

You can also ask for gifts from the Home Page but this is just a ruse to get you to spam. When your mafia click on the posts to help, it directs them to the free gift send page.

The mastery item is a Businessman and the stats increase with each level. Like all Gift Mastery Events, you only get one item. As you progress in mastery, the stats change.

The next gift will unlock in a little over three and a half days. I'm not sure if we will be able to repeat the event as in the past but it there are limits it will be difficult if not impossible.

Turkey Timer Running Out

Save Don's Dinner is almost over. There are only 10 hours left to get as many Turkeys as you can and redeem them before somebody can steal them.

The event was not well planned and catered to bullies and players with a lot of alternate accounts. All those useless Reward Points sitting in serial leveling accounts finally had a reason to be used. It was very easy to steal Turkeys from any account that you could beat. It's not uncommon to see players who are maxed on Ruby Butlers. Unfortunately this event caused many players to give up and leave Mafia Wars.

You can use the Inventory Group Spocklet to see how many Butlers you got. I decided that I'm finished with this event and won't try to redeem anymore Turkeys. It was a lot of work to constantly farm Turkeys and get enough of them before my Turkey Protectors ran out. Many times I needed to redeem them before the Ruby Level because I could see in my player updates that I was being targeted by the same person. I never went off line with Turkeys in my inventory. I would rather redeem the ones I had for a less valuable item then let some douchebag who likes to sit on me get them.

In addition to the new Crate items, there was one Special Event item added to the inventory. This doesn't look like nay event I would want to participate in as the item has stats that won't help me or many other players. Sometimes they label these wrong so lets hope that is what is going on. We should see a Gift Mastery Event and a Secret District this week but those items have already been added to the inventory.

The Next Lucky Stash Update

Last week there were 10 items added to the inventory that were labeled Special Event (1). I stated that they were probably for new Lucky Stash loot as those come out in batches of 10 and are always labeled Special Event.

Today TOKO of the Mafia Wars Collector's site found the ad for the next Lucky Stash update in the servers. This confirms that the loot items shown above are for the Lucky Stash and not a Special Event.

Family Boss Fight Glitch

A few posts down, I posted images from an account that had unreleased Family Boss Fight loot (1). This seemed impossible as the 2 new Bosses haven't been released.

The two new unreleased Family Bosses are Dr. Sarah Swift and the Ice Queen. Although these Boss Fights aren't officially out, some families were able to participate in them. These images are not from the Zynga servers but from a players account.

Here is an image from the same account with all 6 Boss Fights going at the same time.

This was possible because there was a glitch and players who took advantage of it were able to do any Boss Fight they wanted as many times as they wished without having to pay for cool down timers. Zynga has since fixed this glitch. The process was easy and involved changing some of the html code around.

As far as the super rare items that many players have acquired, I'm not clear if this is also a glitch or if certain families have very special Customer Support agents on their payroll. It appears that the account I highlighted in my original post was not unique and there are many more out there. If you find them, they will most likely be in the same families. Because of the glitch shown above, it is possible that so many Boss Fights were completed that eventually these players got the rare items. You can see there are quite a few of the other Family Boss Fight loot items in this account.

If you ask any of these players how they got their rare loot items, they will claim Customer Support was responsible. After learning about the glitch shown above, I don't believe it for a second.
